Terms of service
The agreement between us and the merchant who installs the app. Plain enough to read once and understand.
Last updated 10 August 2026
These terms govern your use of Fastrr Checkout (the "Service"). Installing the app on your Shopify store means you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
1. What the Service is
The Service adds a one-page checkout to your Shopify store. It collects the shopper's details, takes payment through a payment gateway account that belongs to you, and creates the resulting order in your Shopify admin.
We are a software provider. We are not a payment aggregator, a bank or a merchant of record. We never take custody of your funds; money moves from your gateway to your bank account under your agreement with that gateway.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by staff you give access to.
- Keep your admin credentials and your gateway API keys confidential. Tell us promptly if you think either has been exposed.
- You must be legally capable of entering into a contract and, where required, registered to sell what you are selling.
3. What you are responsible for
- Your products and your orders — descriptions, prices, availability, delivery and after-sales service. The shopper's contract is with you, not with us.
- Your gateway relationship — onboarding, KYC, the fees you are charged and any settlement dispute.
- Your own legal obligations — tax, invoicing, consumer law, and publishing your own refund and shipping policies to your shoppers.
- Third-party services you connect — including complying with WhatsApp's Business Messaging policies if you enable OTP.
- Your configuration — the COD limits, fees and verification rules you set are yours; we apply them as configured.
4. What we are responsible for
- Providing the Service with reasonable skill and care.
- Keeping your store's data isolated from every other store, and secured as described in the privacy policy.
- Not marking an order paid without a signature-verified confirmation from the gateway.
- Giving reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what the Service does.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- Sell anything unlawful, or anything prohibited by your payment gateway or by Shopify.
- Process payments belonging to a business other than the one on the connected store, or otherwise misrepresent who is being paid.
- Attempt to access another merchant's data, probe the Service for vulnerabilities without permission, or interfere with its operation.
- Resell or white-label the Service without a written agreement with us.
We may suspend an account that breaches this section. Where the breach is serious — fraud, or a legal demand — we may do so without notice.
6. Fees and billing
- Plan fees are as published on the pricing page at the time you subscribe, in Indian rupees, and exclusive of GST unless stated.
- Subscriptions renew each month until cancelled.
- Your payment gateway's transaction fees are separate and are billed to you by the gateway.
- We may change plan prices with at least 30 days' notice. The new price applies from your next renewal, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
- Fees already paid are non-refundable except as set out in the refunds policy.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the Service continuously available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practical. The Service also depends on Shopify, your payment gateway and, if enabled, WhatsApp and Google — an outage at any of those can affect the checkout, and is outside our control.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, its software and its branding remain ours. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while your subscription is active. Your store's content, products, customer data and order records remain yours; nothing here transfers ownership of them to us.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the plan fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost data or indirect losses.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Ending the agreement
- You may uninstall the app from your Shopify admin at any time. Billing stops at the end of the current period.
- We may terminate for a material breach that is not remedied within 14 days of notice, or immediately where the law requires it.
- On termination, our access to your store is revoked and the Buy Now button is removed. Your orders remain in your Shopify admin, where they have been all along. Data held by us is dealt with as described in the privacy policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are notified in advance and the date at the top changes. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts named in the operator details below have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
